DIY – Deeply Hydrating Natural Body Lotion For Dry Skin

And for the rest of us, who uses body lotions in our skincare routine, get ready to change your whole lotion habits!

Based on natural ingredients such as Aloe vera, Vitamin E, Lavender essential oil, Coconut oil, Mango butter.

Each ingredient from the above has it’s own nutrients & properties.

Aloe Vera –
Once natural Aloe Vera gel has dried on the surface of the skin, it provides a protective barrier that helps keep moisture locked in. It’s cooling effects reduce acne inflammation and assist in healing, removing redness and soothing dry or angry skin.

Vitamin E –
Vitamin E helps support the immune system, cell function, and skin health. It’s an antioxidant, making it effective at combating the effects of free radicals produced by the metabolism of food and toxins in the environment. Vitamin E may be beneficial at reducing UV damage to skin

Coconut Oil –
used in many natural body & face products and for good reason, it’s naturally antibacterial, anti-fungal and moisturizing. Coconut oil is composed primarily of nourishing fatty acids and is especially high in lauric acid. 

Mango Butter – 
Mango Butter is emollient, highly moisturizing, and very nourishing. The Vitamin C in mango butter helps it to boost the skin, brightening it, while the Vitamin A helps to increase the skin’s youthful appearance, reducing fine lines. Since mango butter is a rich moisturizer, it is very soothing and healing.

Aloe Vera Gel

1 Tsp.

Vitamin E Oil

8 Drops.

Lavender Essential Oil

4 Tbsp.

Cococnut Oil

8 Drops.

Peppermint Essential Oil

How To Make 🥣

Step 1

On a table, set a large bowl. Start adding your coconut oil, with the aloe vera gel, then add the vitamin E oil, among the lavender & peppermint essential oils.

Step 4

Using an electric hand mixer or whisk, Mix the ingredients for 2 minutes.

Step 3

Once the lotion is ready, you will notice a smooth light color in to our mixture. Move the mixture to a container, and store in a cool place.

How To Use ❓

Place a quarter-size amount of your your body lotion or into the palm of your hand.
Rub the lotion between your palms for a few seconds to warm it up.
Use both hands to massage the lotion onto a small area of skin in gentle circular motions.
Repeat the above steps as needed to cover your entire body in lotion. Depending on how dry your skin feels, you can be more liberal with the amount of product you apply. Be more generous on areas of thick skin, such as your elbows or knees.

Most skincare professionals suggest moisturizing twice a day: once in the morning and once at night. This ensures your skin’s moisture will remain constant both throughout the day and while you sleep, so you can always look forward to supple, healthy skin.
