How To Make 🥣

Step 1

Add bentonite clay and carrier oils (castor and coconut) followed by a few drops of essential oil of your choice.

Step 2

Pour in the apple cider vinegar little by little while simultaneously mixing it. ACV is added in pauses to avoid the clay from forming clumps.

Step 3

At this point the mixture will be foaming, let it for a few minutes. Follow this with water.

Step 4

Mix until mixture has the consistency of a thick paste and is free of lumps.

How To Use ❓

Before applying your clay mask, follow these guidelines for optimum results. Firstly, wet your hair thoroughly and give it a good wash. Use your shampoo and make sure you rinse out all of it. Second, apply hair mask generously. Divide your hair into sections so that the mask is evenly applied. Apply mask from the roots to your tips. Third, you can keep this on for as long as you want. 10-15 mins if you are already in the shower. 

Fourth, Rinse! Rinse! Rinse! Condition. Flip your hair out and let the shower help you out. Finger comb your hair simultaneously. Apply your conditioner and wash thoroughly as bentonite clay can strip you of your natural oils. Lastly, use a microfiber towel to dry your hair and style them as you usually would. Viola! When making a bentonite clay mask, avoid steel utensils. Instead, opt for glass, ceramic, or wooden mixing bowls and spoons as clay reacts to steel/metal utensils.On a wash day, let it stay on for at least an hour or more. The longer it’s on your scalp, the longer it will work its magic. Use this time to exfoliate your face, wax, or give your body a good scrub.
