Argan Oil is a beautiful golden oil with a delicate, gentle texture – an extract from the nuts or kernels of the Argan tree. It is a specie native to southwestern Morocco and is of great benefit to the communities living in that region.
This exquisite oil is crafted by hand in the traditional, small-batch method. The fruit falls and is harvested by hand, by the communities, followed by drying it in the sun. Further, the fruit and nut are separated, a job that women of the community meticulously do.
The nuts are then cracked by hands to obtain a kernel, that very much resembles an almond. These kernels are “cold-pressed” followed by coarse filtration to remove any of the remaining kernel particles. This process result in a refined oil, possessing a light yellow hue with a distinctive odour, and a silky texture.
